Subject: Technology Use in the Workplace
Dear Employees,
I hope your work day has gone well. We would like to address some minor concerns that have arisen regarding technology and communication between coworkers. As you know, head phones have been accepted freely up to this point. Though we have seen some positive aspects of listening freely to music, there has been an increase of technological distractions. Open communication is an important aspect of this company and is essential to production, however communication has decreased due to an increase in media usage.
As of 9 September 2014, the following changes to acceptable listening times will be made to increase positive communication within the workplace:
- Before 9 AM
- After 4 PM
- During lunch hours unless such use is directly related to the work at hand
We would appreciate your co-operation with the changes listed above. This is for the benefit our our company and our clients.
